Can I connect a subwoofer to an audio receiver without subwoofer output? 3

I bought an audio receiver from Amazon (Sony STR dh100) with only 2 channels. To my disappointment, I found that the subwoofer did not match. Can I get a subwoofer that gets a lower frequency? In other words, can you assemble the subwoofer and make it work properly?

Yes sir. The trick is to get an active subwoofer with speaker level input. Generally, you will have two set of speaker in and out terminals. The input comes from the speaker output of your Sony STR dh100. The subwoofer does not use the receiver's output power to run directly, but instead sends a small amount of current to the preamp / crossover / power amplifier and connects the two channels. The output goes to the main speakers unmixed, but in some cases after a high P filter.

An example of this type of subwoofer is:

The only way to connect the subwoofer to the speaker is to connect the speaker output of the receiver to the subwoofer and then to the main speaker. If the active subwoofer does not work, there is no subwoofer or main output.

There is a switch plug on the back of the receiver. Can be alone (you sleep with a crimson hat). It's on your subwoofer. You will need either a subwoofer cable or a single synch cable to connect the new subwoofer to this jack. If you don't have one, you'll need to unplug the RCA and plug it into the crimson and sub-ports, although it doesn't look great when you try.
