Why don't some places accept discovery cards?

Merchants pay a fee for each accepted credit card. Merchant Discover Card fees are treated differently from Visa or MasterCard fees. Earlier, the Sims Club accepted Discover Cards and treated them as purchases, while Visa or MasterCard were considered cash withdrawals.

In some parts of the country, the discovery is not as welcome as elsewhere. I have traveled extensively throughout the southern and eastern United States and encountered only two restaurants that do not accept discovery. They don't even accept MasterCards, which makes them very unusual.

Discover and American Express are special cards with high transaction fees that reduce corporate profits. Most dealers mark their UC to redeem them, choosing to receive other ineligible cards.
Visa and MasterCard are generally accepted on the same business plan, Discover and AMEX have their own fee schedules and both exceed Visa / MC. Given the lower AMEX / Discovery ratio than the other two, a trader may decide that there is nothing wrong with having two additional accounts.
Because you have to have a computer system that receives and processes, and that costs money. And because very few people think it's worth investing in in some places.

Remember that whenever you swipe a card, the merchant / seller has to pay a fee to Visa / MC / Discover or American Express.
The same is true of Amex, which is not universally accepted.

For this reason, some do not accept Amex, Visa or MasterCard. These are all payment options that the seller must accept. I only accept cash for anything that saves money for me and the client.

The seller believes that there are more Visa and MC cards in circulation. Try to include the equipment needed for maintenance.
