Goodman gas fire sensor cleaning. ? 3

I have a 1997 Goodman gas engine, I think it's 98% efficient. Last year I had to clean the fire sensor and this year too. Is this a normal occurrence? Cleaned with fine sandpaper, should I do that? Does the machine need to be cleaned frequently? I'm not sure if they cleaned it or not, at least I know they haven't cleaned it in the 5 years I've been here. Can I do it myself if it is not what a professional usually asks for?

As you know, gas fires are relatively easy to maintain. Did you clean the fire sensor 2x because it didn't turn on or just because you could see it? This carrot is rare in just one year, but it is not uncommon. Well, at least you can clean yourself up.

We recommend cleaning and checking your device every 2 years, especially by checking the gas pressure yourself. Replace the filter, clean the engine and make sure you have a nice blue flame, maybe a little yellow, and viola.
